A Galactic New Year Wish to You!
We anticipate the arrival of the New Year 2007! And as we do Pluto is traveling at the exact degree of the Galactic Center.
What is the Galactic Degree anyway?
Well, certainly, the surgeon general probably doesn’t know….but in the world of the sky some of the finest scientist, astronomers…and astrologers do.
We work with terms such as: latitude, longitude, degrees, frequency, molecular cloud base, elevation, parallels, interstellar winds, radiation pressures, magnetic fields, gravity, light years and energetic cosmic environment.
For our astrological purposes, it is the energetic cosmic environment we identify with now. The Galactic center as a point in space measured at 26 degrees and 57 minutes of Sagittarius (you may see this referenced on the web in a rounded off form as 27 degrees). This Galactic degree was discovered and pinpointed in 1960.
December’s new Moon was within a degree of this auspicious point making it finely tuned. But the most remarkable astrological observation of this incidence is Pluto’s connection to this degree on the 30th of December. This can only occur once every 248 years. (And you wondered why you were alive!)
What does this means to us earthlings?
Think of this astrological event as mighty and emotive. Rather than thinking of it as one single event, think of it as a commencement. In simple terms….a noticeable and life altering beginning. Those who are open to spiritual growth, progress and record breaking personal advancement will now find brilliant insight at a high rate of speed. You may already be noticing a shift of importance and intensity.
This announcement is like the ride of Paul Revere….shouting the British are coming… the British are coming. However, the message shouted at this time is more like…Your Spirit is coming…Your Spirit is coming.
And indeed, spirit is here and asking to be with you. This all signals a more intense awaking.

So what does this event mean for us? In my view , the connection to the Galactic Center (Heart of the Universe) is exactly an absolute out-cry for change.
Life’s challenges just seem to be more in our face: Emotional outbursts, sadness, confusion, rage, hysteria, anxiety, depression, illness, accidents, body aches, digestive problems, allergies, acute pain injuries, and financial challenges, chemical or medical emergencies. Feelings of bi-polar madness may be common.
Most of us know that we have been growing spiritually for some time. The question is… are we ready to be Lightworkers? You will know you are ready if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Excessive emotions, painful childhood memories or pass experiences resurfacing for review. This is our soul directing us to transmute those memories as ownership toward creativity and leadership.
- You will begin to recognize that your gifts do not come from public recognition or how others see you, rather, recognizing the challenges as chosen gifts and exercising them in the art of improving life.
- You notice a craving to be in quiet ways. You will begin to seek periods of solitude in order to hear your own voice (what might be referred to as the voice of the soul). Perhaps that is being with nature more and finding a quiet relaxation place as in meditation. You may find your pen crying out to express in written form.
- You may develop a passionate desire to release addictions. That would include substances, negative relationships, anger, abuse to you and others; sex, money (only for the sake of money), alcohol/drugs, nicotine, overeating, TV, other influences of media and any obstacles that block the growth of the soul.
So where do you begin?
Strategies that will help you through the changes include…
- Daily meditation. Twice a day, at least 15 minutes each time, will help you ground, center, reconnect with the Source and integrate the changes on all levels. (E-mail Lyn to request a very special written meditation to get you started)
- Develop a support network with others who on the path of mastery. Release non-supportive relationships that attempt to hold you in past patterns.
- Set clear intentions and express them in ceremony, prayer, poem, dance, song and/or art.
- Reach out to new learning experiences. Explore transformational healing tools including energy, bodywork, classes, essential oils, flower essences and sacred sound.
- All of the above ventures will assist you in recognizing… we are all infinite Divine Light… the trick is not to talk about it but practice the light.
This connection to the Galactic Center by Pluto is not a flood gate. The transformations don’t happen in one step. However, the awareness of the need to change is highly auspicious and sensitive from now until November of 2007. Pluto will move direct and retrograde over the Galactic degree. As it does, the energy is at its highest. Those dates are:
December 30 2006 Direct
July 15, 2007 Retrograde
October 28, 2007 Direct
When these connections from Pluto (the planet of great transformation) are complete, the occurrence will not happen again for 248 years.
Meanwhile, at the birth of the New Year, you may find a jump start of energy within your body. It may be joyful, it may be stressful; it could be depressive or it may be pounding with intensity and intention.
Hold any and all of these energies in love and just know that the chaos, illness, family change, marriage shifts, job change, life direction or health challenge you are faced with is part of your soul moving you toward unheralded growth in this… your life…and your connection to the divine universe.
Not only does the Pluto/Galactic Center connection signal a time of unprecedented personal growth it is a signal to celebrate “being in the Aquarian Age.” It is our mission and work to lead in the earth school and create a place of learning and growing in peaceful and loving co-existence for all of mankind.
