Whew, now that the crap has been taken care of...
Hello everyone who is still here!!
My name is Andrew Albertini, but most of my friends call me Glenn. I am 32 years old, and my place of birth was the small town of Meadville, PA, just about an hour from the bustling metropolis of Erie. I lived there for 15 years until my dad retired and we decided to move to the Atlanta metro area. I went to school at Lassiter High School, and then had a stunted college career at NGC and then KSU totalling roughly two years. At this time, I have no clue if I will ever go back to college. Right now, my thoughts are to perhaps go back to pick up some classes that interest me. After college and moving out on my own, I ran into an old college friend of mine, Tara. We would walk down to the Circle K during breaks in gaming and we would talk about different things. One day, while we were talking about religion, Tara looks at me and says,
"You know I'm Wiccan, right?"
"Whoa there now...What's this?? Wiccan? What's that?"
So she explains to me what Wicca is. And you know what? After hearing everything, I have to say my interest was piqued. I started buying all the books I could find about the Old Religion and devouring them with gusto. On Samhain (October 31 for the mundane) of 1996 I think, I started my solitary walk along the Wiccan path and have been Wiccan for close to...let's see, it's 03/2002, that would mean...damn, close to 8 years??? Wow, time moves when you ain't lookin'! Anyways, I have since been part of a couple of groups and am now a member of WebWeavers, you can find them at www.webweaverscommunity.org. I am there under my craft name of River. I don't know exactly how much has been posted yet, but we are working on making this a true pagan community for eveyone who is wanting to see growth not only in themselves but also in the world they live in. I am so very excited in all of this.
What are my interests you ask?? Well, some of my mundane interests include gaming (Sci-Fi and fantasy), reading (just about anything I can get my hands on when I have the time!), comics, walking, singing and some very minor dabbling with computers. My not-so-mundane interests are tattoos and other forms of body modification, meditation, and the bardic arts.
I think that this will end my first blog. I hope it has been informative for everyone reading this. Until I post again.
