Dream...

The people in the dream, Droid, Sarsen, K’La, and myself, and there were other people, but I never really saw their faces, were in a house. The house (or maybe the room we were in) was dark. It’s kinda like we’re inspecting it, like we’re gonna move in, or something of the sort. The first thing I remember is being in the house. I have this cloth in my hands. Long flowing black, cloth. The part that’s in my hands has this folded over seam cuff, like a hem, but an inch and a half, two inch thick. I’m taking that, and I’m twisting it. It’s almost like it moves in sections. I twist it to a point to where I can’t get it anymore. There is something inside the seam. I try to get it to go, it won’t go. I look at Droid, and he says, “That can be the name of your next album: Breaking Glass”. (And I think I know what that means.) In order to be able to continue the progress, the twisting of it, the only way I was going to be able to continue that is if the glass was broken, or if the glass was able to flow with the cloth the way I moved it. At this point, someone, I think K’La, mentions that there is a snake in the house. K’La was scared of it, and wanted it removed, out of the house. I looked over my left shoulder, and I saw a shadow/shade of what looked like a small woman, not much taller than 5 feet. She had what looked like a mourning cloth (another black cloth) draped over her. She stepped forward, and I got the impression/words that she could help me get rid of the snake. I thanked her, but told her that her assistance wouldn’t be necessary, because I knew if the others saw her, and they would, they would not understand, and would be frightened of her, and in turn, me. She stepped back, accepting what I said. I then went to shoo the snake out. The lights were on at this point in my dream. The snake was trapped between the opened door and the wall, inside the house. I opened the door a little, and the snake started slithering in the house. The snake was white, and I could see that the head of the snake was just about completely severed from its body. I don’t get the impression that this was done by anyone in the house. It’s like it was coming inside, trying to find a safe place, because someone outside did it. I quickly learned that to stomp my foot near its head, would get the snake to turn away from my foot. I guided the snake back out the door this way and shut the door behind it.

That was when I woke up.


Just as a footnote, I have been getting flashes/images in my eyes of a woman dressed in all black, kinda the way I 'saw' the shade dressed. I'm seeing this both when my eyes are open as well as when my eyes are closed. The difference is that I can see the womans face. She has short white hair and her eyes are almost impossibly wide. I get a feeling of trepidation from her, but I don't know if it because of how she looks or if it some sort of warning from her or about her. Another thing is that SHE might be the one who is afraid, but if that is the case, I don't know what she is afraid of...

Intriguing... I think this could be a sign, G. Something in all of that symbology just rang deeply to my core. I believe you're right to seek out the opinions of others on this... hmmmmm

Please forgive my disjointed style -- I am only out of bed to eat and am simply exhausted. That being said:

Up until the line ...There is something inside the seam..., I was ready to say that I have had a similar dream before...I had a repeating dream for a while about a group of people "checking out" a house wherein a variety of different things happened. We had: a tiger in the house, a black panther or jaguar in the house, a problem with spiders, and a problem with snakes (plural). All of these seemed to represent something more significant than problems down at the local zoo, but I never felt really compelled to explore them very deeply.

One key feature of my repeating dreams was the opening, closing, and use of multiple doors (For instance, walking through the house, trying every door to get in, trying every door to get out, etc.) A person once claimed to me that this often signifies astral travel while in the dream state.

Also, in one of my dreams, the tiger (which I was certain woulf terrify everyone who was there with me) 'turned itself' into a man with golden eyes to help us. In this case, the eyes were the identifying feature that remained the same to let people who understood know who it really was. Did you have this experience with your lady? Was she perhaps the snake in a different form?

Breaking glass inside a piece of fabric is part of the traditional Jewish wedding ceremony, which represents (according to the orthodoxy of the people getting married and their families) :

- that getting married is an irrevocable act that cannot be put back again
- that marraige is a frail and fragile thing that must be respected and taken care of
- the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in the year 70 and the centuries of exile that followed

In addition, I have also unofficially heard it referred to as a reference to the destruction of the maidenhead on the wedding night. I have not idea whether this part is true; however, the rest of the answers I have heard from multiple sources and they seem to be correct.

I don't recognize the woman except that she seems to be related to the snake, and if she is, then she has every reason to be afraid of everybody -- she is very vulnerable right now, anyone could be a potential destroyer or saviour.

I have been listening to the dream doctor on 98.5, hes really cool. I haven't heard about the glass or stuff but the snake is supposed to represent a person who has wronged you, perhaps some one who wronged you that recently came crawling back for help because someone else
hurt them. This guy really makes sense hes on at night if you wanna check him out. Hope what little I wrote will help.
