Ever since I can remember, I have "seen things" whenever I close my eyes. These things would flash at almost subliminal speed and, if it were possible, each new one would be more horrific than the last. I'm not going to describe them, even though more than a few stand out in my mind. I told my mother once about what I saw and got nervous laughter and "You're starting to scare me." from her. From that point, my coping mechanism was/is to force myself to stay awake until I am certain that I will be asleep before my head hit the pillow.

I was to a point where every now and again there would be one that was particularly memorable/gruesome, but so infrequent that I was just about ready to put that behind me.

Until last friday.

Read the story below before you click on the link.

Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war. Legend says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came. So, they say she still waits. They caught this photo (using digital imaging and sound) of what they claim to be her. This one is wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture. It took me about 20 seconds to find it, but when you do, it just stands out. To save you some time, concentrate around the table and sort of towards the right window. Also, if you have volume, turn it up as you can hear some faint murmurings after a while which they say is the ghost talking.
Kind of interesting...keep looking you WILL find it.

I'm going to spoil it for everyone. What happens is that for about 20 seconds, you are looking at a nice picture of a country kitchen that looks out to a field. Then this horrific picture of a distorted face pops on the screen 2-3 second accompanied by this absolutely wretched scream. This is set on a continuous loop so if you wait another 20 seconds, it all starts over. If you are following the directions, you have your sound turned up to hear the 'murmuring' and your face is just about touching the screen looking for the ghost when the other image shows.

Like I was.

I don't have words to describe the sheer horror that gripped me. This thing from my dreams there on the screen, in the exact same manner as when I close me eyes, as if to say to me "After all these years, you aren't even safe when you are awake."

I usually sleep 10-12 hours a night. I am lucky if I get 4-6 a night now after what I saw. I will wake up and try to fall back asleep before I start to see and inevitably, I will see some variation of the damned face, twisted even further by my mind and that will be the end of my sleep for another couple of hours, if I am lucky. I don't know if this is some sort of mental problem or what...I don't know...
