We got 'em! We got...oh wait...
Mar. 31st, 2004 11:04 pmAs some of you may know,
bookofmirrors and I have been attempting to catch a stray grey cat in a live trap because the cat has what looks like a broken leg. Well,
bookofmirrors usually trips the trap so that we don't accidentally get a racoon or an opposum or two caught in it. Tonight, we forgot. As I went into the kitchen to make some popcorn, I decided to turnn on the porch lights and take a look. What I found were two racoons crammed at one end of the trap. I think they were trying to get out the way they had gotten in, personally. I went running upstairs to get
bookofmirrors and
simplysakka so that they could get a look at the adorable sight before the two fuzzy bandits were let go. By the time the three of us got back downstairs, a third one was waiting outside the trap. (I think he was trying to slip the duo a file...)
bookofmirrors stepped out onto the porch and opened the trap at the opposite end, and at first, the racoons didn't see what she had done. It took a little coaxing, but the two jailbirds were sprung, but the most amusing picture in my mind was of the last one looking up at
bookofmirrors, not realizing that he was already halfway out of the trap.../chuckle
