As some of you may know, [livejournal.com profile] bookofmirrors and I have been attempting to catch a stray grey cat in a live trap because the cat has what looks like a broken leg. Well, [livejournal.com profile] bookofmirrors usually trips the trap so that we don't accidentally get a racoon or an opposum or two caught in it. Tonight, we forgot. As I went into the kitchen to make some popcorn, I decided to turnn on the porch lights and take a look. What I found were two racoons crammed at one end of the trap. I think they were trying to get out the way they had gotten in, personally. I went running upstairs to get [livejournal.com profile] bookofmirrors and [livejournal.com profile] simplysakka so that they could get a look at the adorable sight before the two fuzzy bandits were let go. By the time the three of us got back downstairs, a third one was waiting outside the trap. (I think he was trying to slip the duo a file...) [livejournal.com profile] bookofmirrors stepped out onto the porch and opened the trap at the opposite end, and at first, the racoons didn't see what she had done. It took a little coaxing, but the two jailbirds were sprung, but the most amusing picture in my mind was of the last one looking up at [livejournal.com profile] bookofmirrors, not realizing that he was already halfway out of the trap.../chuckle
